Laptopidiot.

Today I saw someone at a car boot sale with a cacky old laptop, with a broadband dongle. He was brazenly checking out the price of items online whilst looking at stalls. Is it just me that thinks this is stupid. By all means, buy and sell things, value prices on the internet. Just not infront of the seller!

Does it not occur to laptopidiot that the seller may up the price if they find out the item is worth money. Even if the seller doesn't find out the cost, the fact that the buyer is standing right in front of them checking it out is enough to raise suspicion, perhaps enough to take it offsale then check it out at home, on a normal computer, like a normal person...

Got this for 50p. It's awful (unsurprisingly). Where will it end up, one wonders?

CD Vs. GHIII

Apparently there is a 'clipping' problem with the CD release of 'Death Magnetic', which as someone with a good amp and very big speakers, I don't notice that much.

I've read all the speil and blogs about how the Guitar Hero III version is better quality with much skepticism. Until I saw some wav file images of the CD Vs. GHIII. I then Downloaded the GHIII Rip and upon listening, discovered that it is slightly heavier on the bass . When you get the volume to about 20 on my stereo, the treble on the cd is slightly higher than on the GHIII version. That's about it. If you want to hear it properly, don't listen to it on an ipod or a pc, put it on a proper stereo. It's not rocket science. Oh the irony of Metallica fans moaning that the CD is too loud haha.

Other news:

I bought a totally useless bubblewrap simulator, and a nasty tasting energy drink called 911. It's halal you know?!. Kind of tastes like unfrozen raspberry tip tops.

Went to see the Modey Lemon, they were intense, loud, and thouroughly excellent. They were also let down by the idiot support bands. The local bands were lucky enough to get to support the band, then didn't even bother haning around to see the band that followed them, causing a venue to half emtpy before the main act. Modey drummer Paul said it best after the gig, when he said "We had to sit through your their three crappy bands, the least they could do was watch us"

It was such a powerful gig, I felt really bad for the band. Shame on the very stoic to cool for school wolves crowd who don't have the respect to watch a band that offers local support. Shame it wasn't in Birmingham where I've never seen an audience treat a band with such apathy.
