23rd October. New campaign?

Today is the first day since our eldest daughter started high school. It is half term so we let her have two old friends over. They played excitedly, and lil' George and Elizabeth joined in too. It was loud, but then it's half-term and they're kids. They started playing at 6pm, and I took them home at 7.30pm. Neighbours started banging the walls at 6.45. Ignored it. Sang happy birthday to Bethany, had a little disco, and 7.20 all were on their way home. It is now 10.00pm, and the neighbours have started banging the upstairs wall that adjoins our George's bedroom. George is 2. He's been in bed since 7.30. I've investigated. I've gone into the bedroom. They are CLEARLY banging and tapping the wall. They're in their late 70's. I doubt they've chose 10pm to start some DIY. Petulance, Methinks. Maybe they're winding up for another attack. It's been 2 months (thereabouts).
