I left my camera on a seat, when rushing to get off the train, as the station I needed to get off at had been closed (without me being told before boarding).
I was told the conductor found it at the next stop, and was passing back through, meet him at the stop where I was at.
The train came, there was NO CONDUCTOR.
An hour later I phone new street lost property. "nothing has been handed in" they tell me. I ask "what time did the train arrive?"
The person responds "are you asking me?"
No, father fucking abrham of the bastard smuf village you fucking dickhead, of course you.
So I then phone up london-midland to complain. The lady does some enquireies whilst I'm on hold. She comes back and tells me A: She's got it, B: She's sorry the gentleman at new street was rude. This is then followed by "you have to go get it from New Street, and it'll cost you £10".
£10 to pick up my own stuff. Why? "Insurance... you left it, we've got to look after it"
Utter Utter bullshit, and I'm guessing illegal. I can prove that they are holding MY LEGAL ITEM and won't give it me unless I give them my money. To me, that's blackmail and theft.
